Purpose of the Usher

Under the authority of and on behalf of the Pastor, assist in the many functions of the Church Ministry.

Take upon ourselves the tasks pertaining to the functions of the ministry so that our Pastor can focus on prayer, God’s Work and personal ministry within the body of the church.

Serve the body of Christ. Meet the needs of each and every person who enters the doors of Harambee United Church of Christ.

There are many opportunities to make an impact on those around us. Each day, people come to Harambee to be strengthened and encouraged by the Lord. The Ministry of Ushering begins at the door.

The Usher’s Pledge

“I pledge by the help of God to do my best to serve my church with a pure heart, clean hands and a breath that will not be offensive to those I welcome into the house of the Lord.
