Joseph’s Release Prison Ministry (Genesis 39 – 41)

Kingdom Embassy has been active in Dauphin County Prison since 2008.  The ministry is founded upon the scripture: Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37″Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40″The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

Vision

To bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to County and State Correctional Facilities and Half-Way Houses.

To reach out to prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families both as an act of service to Jesus Christ and as a contribution to restoring peace to our cities and communities endangered by crime. The best way to transform our communities is to transform the people within those communities—and true restoration only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Mission

To bring Christ centered preaching and discipleship to those behind prisons walls and in half-way houses.

To provide a way of escape; breaking the chains of bondage and generational sins by teaching and displaying the freedom and victory that is available through the grace, love, and forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ.  In all aspects of the ministry, we will exemplify integrity, excellence, compassion, and a commitment to Christian character and values.
