S.I.L.C. - Singles In Love with Christ

Singles In Love w/ Christ (S.I.L.C) is a ministry designed to empower those who are single to seek and embrace their Godly purpose while in their “state of singleness.”

Question: “For what is our hope or joy, or crown of rejoicing?” (1 Thess. 2:19)

Answer: Singleness is often used synonymously with loneliness. There is nothing further from the truth.

Loneliness is not the result of being single, but the result of the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. To be single is to be devoted completely to the Lord, “He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord…”(1 Cor. 7:32).

While we experience times of ‘aloneness’ Jesus comfortingly reminds us that He is always with us! In our “state of singleness” we are in a unique and privileged place to be used by God.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a people for God’s own possession…” (1 Peter 2:9)

What Do We Do?

Through scriptural application, S.I.L.C. utilizes various formats to encourage members to understand biblical principles and responsibility in being single: Bible Studies, Fellowship Gatherings and, Community Outings are just a few.

We gather on a monthly basis or as necessary to meet the needs of the ministry members. Together we learn to:

• press through temptation & defeat it;
• accept our assignment as servants using God's power in our weakness, and
• live with purpose.

Activities and Events

In addition to regular scripture-based teachings and fellowships, the Singles Ministry hosts and sponsors several events throughout the year. In the vision to edifying "Singles" in the body of Christ, future plans of S.I.L.C. include:
